Pink Bridge?

Another story brought to you by my coworker. We are just gonna call him Cornelius - and he didn't even tell me I couldn't use his name. I just happen to think I am freakin hilarious.

But, anyway, he told me there is a haunted bridge called the Pink Bridge in Owosso. And, I instantly googled. Only to find out it is not pink. I was mad but I will still tell ya the story.

It is now the Oakwood Avenue Bridge, formally known as the Pink Bridge. This bridge is said to be haunted by the ghosts of two teen lovers who committed suicide - or sewer pipe if you are my husband - by jumping off this bridge. Some of the residents of Owosso say that this bridge is absolutely haunted and it is a truly tragic story. While other townspeople say it is absolutely crazy to think that this bridge could be haunted.

The "pink' bridge was built in the late 1800's. It was originally build for vehicles. And, was said to be a pivotal part of Owosso. Well, in the early 1900's two 18 year old lovers decided the only way to be together forever was to take their lives by jumping off this bridge and being together forever into the afterlife.

Now, they are tormented souls haunting the place that they took their last breath. Some people say they have watched two shapes stand on the bridge and almost reenact the suicide. Others say they have heard screams, and some have said they feel bursts of freezing cold air.

There is limited sources to say why two kids who get this idea in their head that the only way to be together forever would be to literally DIE together. That seem a little cray if you ask me...I mean no one did, but here we are.

Now, the pink bridge has lost its old pink (salmon for all you macho men) color and has been repainted a navy blue and used as a foot bridge. And, the bridge is still a historical place for the lovely town of Owosso.

What do you think? Could there be any truth to this? Two 18 year olds so in love that they just throw themselves off a bridge to their deaths? But, that wasn't quite enough they need to keep doing it over and over again.

I don't know maybe I have never experienced a love that made me want to throw myself off a bridge - for love that is. I usually wanna throw THEM off the bridge.

Tell me what you think.

XOXO

Hank.
